ParticipantHi,
I’ve got a Belling 100DFT 444444053.
I’m being lazy I know I should just go and look but
Is there an easy way to get to the roller catch on this. It’s in the middle of the two ovens.
Thanks.July 19, 2021 at 4:26 pm #477842rolf
ParticipantWent out and had a look can’t see anyway to get to the roller catch it’s between the two ovens.
Can anyone please help or offer any advice.
Thanks.July 20, 2021 at 4:45 am #477843hebegebe
ParticipantI’m not familiar with the oven unit in question, but I use nylon cord a lot to position and hold awkward items whilst I get the first screw in. Drop it down from the top (under the hob) or pull it up from the underneath with string through the hole. A bit fiddly but if there’s a clear path for the old one to drop out then the replacement can be pulled in the the same way. Need to be sure there’s a clear path before dropping old one into the bowels of the oven though. Graham

ParticipantThanks Graham. I really appreciate your advice. I did have a quick look on top but it was all covered and no obvious way underneath. I also started to take the front off but couldn’t see how to get behind it. I was going to take the back off and see if there was any space between the cavity and use a magnet to position but I ran out of time. When I go back at least I have another way of attack with the cord, Many thanks.

was thinking the same sort of thing
either dropping it down or pulling it up. you may need something to compress the insulation in a bit to make roomotherwise to have to completely dismantle the whole oven does not seem cost effective not to mention very bad design
