belling 643ss dual oven and hob, Fan problems

Hi all
im looking for a bit of expert advice.
My lower oven fan wont come on, I have tested both elements( the round one at the fan and also the one at the top of the oven) The one around the fan doesnt work although it still has 240v across the terminals. The element on the top works fine.
The fan doesnt come on at all.. I am not getting 240 across it nor across the neutral on the motor and the live on the selector switch. i have checked continuity between the switch and the motor.
I have also applied 240v across the motor from another source and the fan turned with no problems
Any help would be greatly appreciated as im at the end of my tether!!!lol

Quick update on the selector switch i have swapped the oven light with the fan connection and the fan now works fine!
Can i leave it working like this? and also can i bridge the connection so that both the fan and the light work? thanks
