    every time i switched on fan oven it was tripping at mains,found burnt out switch changed it still tripping changed oven light thought i’d solved the problem now it won’t heat up a mate tested element with meter said it was ok could it be thermostat ❓

    Almost always the fan element is to blame. Are you sure your mates testing is conclusive?

    Then the obvious question is…

    Was the replacement switch wired correctly?

    No need to shout by the way (CAPS LOCK ON) 😉

    The thermostat powers the element (it’s just a switch after all) so it could also be that. Get your mate to check that too! 💡

    COULD THE THERMOSTAT HAVE BURNT OUT SAME TIME AS SWITCH ?
