Please can anyone tell me what is likely to be wrong with my fridge? The backwall, approx halfway up is quite warm to touch. The top and bottom is fairly cold with a thin layer of ice. The drain does not seem to be blocked (water freely running through the drain). There does not seem to be any cool air circulating within the fridge.

    The freezer is not affected.

Is there anything I could do myself before calling out an engineer?

    Many thanks Lloydy 27

    Its a Belling BE811 Type: HZDI 2526

Today I can feel some cold air circulation. There is evidence of a thin layer of ice (frost) on top and bottom thirds of the back wall. The middle is quite warm to the touch.

Havn’t seen this model but obviously you havn’t got the heater switched on in the appliance. The button next to the stat.
Try defrosting the appliance for +48hrs in case of overticing if that fails its engineer time.
