    Belling 627gr, ser 60100223

Due to all four regulators failing, new regulators were fitted, Belling No 082604436, generic hpt 6204034 (6201721).

The rings work fine, but do not regulate. Set the dial to 1 the ring stays on full until you reduce the dial to below 1, it then regulates the ring to off.
If you set the ring to max the ring runs until the overheat glass thermostat kicks in and it regulates on the thermostat.

Any ideas as to what is going on ?

Something tells me you didn’t have enough info on converting from original parts to new ones. If you can’t get info (and there’s something*, I don’t know if it might help, mentioned in the “Diamond H” sticky at the head of the forum)
you could try taking one of the old ones and one of the new ones and taking their covers off to see which terminal does what.

Yes, I don’t know why they can’t have an industry standard for simmerstat terminal numbering. Even different ones from the same manufacturer can have the same numbers / letters for completely different connections, Despite having information from this site and other places I have several times had to open them up to work out which terminal is which.

    Problem solved !

The regulators neutral on pin 4a had a break in it. Tested the old regs just to make sure and they are knackered, so it must of broke whilst swapping out the parts.

    Woo Hoo 😛
