We have a Belling 112 dual fuel range, with 6 gas hobs, and 3 electric ovens.
Half way through cooking and there was the sound of a “crack” from the lower left fan oven. Now the oven fails to heat up, the fan does not run, and the internal lamp does not light up.

I’m guessing that the “crack” could possibly be the element failing and shorting to earth; but from what I’ve read, the fan and lamp should still operate, as they’re fed seperately.

The upper oven/grill/lamp works fine,so I know there’s still power to the oven.

    Thoughts?

Hard to call it difinitely without checking the appliance but it could be a wiring connection fault at the terminal block, faulty selector switch, dunno if theres a clock on this model & if there is it could be a fault there either.
If element went pop, usually the lamp & fan should work but sometimes the short damages the switch contacts & nothing works, probably best to get an engineer check it out for you.
