I’m having real problems with this cooker. It always seems to take out a 40A MCB when I’m not there. The customer says that the MCB trips when the oven has been in use for about 45 minutes. I waited an hour!!! I have no reason to disbelieve her. The only possible problem would be that the cooling fan doesn’t come on when the main oven heats up.. The cooling fan operates when the top oven is switched on. There is a fan thermostat and a cooling fan circuit board for this cooker. Can any one tell me if this thermostat switches the fan on or off, and if the cooker does over heat would it cause a 40A MCB to trip? It doesn’t take out the RCB.

    Ideas please?

I would change the oven element as a matter of diagnostic routine.

had one of these with a similar fault.
turned out to be a duff lamp holder, the bulb had blown sometime ago, but they left it in – eventually the terminal inside arced out on random occasions.

    Faulty MCB possibly?
