On examining the lower oven door hinges which had worked loose, it seems that some of the screws should locate in a plate behind the front panel. This appears to have dropped, leaving nothing for the screws to screw into. I can’t see any obvious way of getting behind the panel to reposition it. Any guidance gratefully recieved. Thanks.

    Not easy, back panel off.
Reaching job i’m afraid, if you have a second pair of hands it would be good, i’ve used a wire coat hanger on these, lots of cursing words will be vented on the designers of the cooker while doing this job.

Thanks for that. I’ve just managed to get both hinges back on – thanks to my 17 year old son who provided another pair of hands and a slimmer arm to reach through! To help locate the threaded plate, we passed wires through the holes from the front so that the plate could be pushed along them from the back to end up in the right place. Why did they make it like that?
