    Hi

    I am getting an error message 88 with a few symbols e.g clock, star, a couple of curly arrows and a bottle shaped thing with a ball on the top. I can’t seem to reset the machine. It will not fill and the tablet is still in the dispenser.

    Any ideas please.

    This one is made by Smeg and the control PCB has locked up for some reason.

    Try powering off for a few hours and see what happens.

    Other than that, it’s engineer time to be honest as other component failures can cause software errors on these. Please check the repairs@ link below should the need arise 🙂

    I thought it may have got itself in a bit of a knot so I switched it off at the mains about 17:00.

    Unfortunately that hasn’t made any difference. As I am house sitting at the moment I will talk to the man in charge and see what he wants to do about a repair.
