The problem is that Belling do not make that dishwasher and I am not sure who does. E1 often indicates a no fill problem, check the water supply is on and the hose is not kinked, other than that its engineer time.

It’s a Servis built appliance – all we need now are the error codes.

But If belling don’t make it, Why is it labelled belling??

Same reason VW Sharan is labelled also as a Ford Galaxy 😉 they all at it. Lada Riva is an old Fiat Miafiori , the list is endless.

Oh dear, how long have you got? “Badging” is (in my opinion) the curse of this industry. The old Belling company went bust some years ago, and the name is now owned by Glenn Dimplex. As an old established and respected name, they have kept the name alive by buying in proprietry machines with the Belling name stuck on. Yours is actually made by one of the Merloni companies in Italy, best known in this country for keeping the Servis name going after they went bust……..
It would be fair to say that in a lot of instances, your poor repairer doesn’t quite know what he’s going to be working on until takes the covers off.

You’ll be pleased to know I managed to fix the cursed dishwasher without professional help.
Sent the other half under the sink to have a look and what did he find? Well the water supply to the dishwasher was off 😳 Turns out he turned it off when installing a new sink upstairs 😳

It took him a month? My Mrs would have gone ballistic by the end of the second day!
Well done – next time we’ll have a record – E1 = no fill.
Cheers,
