Likely is underfilling & not enough water pressure to keep heater pressure switch on for the heating cycle.

Have got E3 problems on Belling Int’ IDW604s solved by tweeking the screw on pressure sw’ a little to fill more water. Having tried new heaters, pumps, p.c.bs etc to no avail, unless its a warranty job it’ll cost a fortune trying parts.
Perhaps on eco’ it heats for a timed period only.March 3, 2011 at 7:26 pm #346024keithwilliams

if you can be bothered, you could bypass the switch and try it. see what happens. after all this switch is basically an added extra over the indesit that its based on. not that i’m suggesting that you leave it bypassed.

not sure about bypassing the switch
which way do you turn the screw and by how much to let it fill a little moreMarch 4, 2011 at 12:02 am #346026keithwilliams

i don’t mean the pressostat.
i’m talking about the microswitch thats in the hose from the spray pump. pink wire in from pcb and pink wire out to the heater. put the pcb wire directly onto the heater and see if it heats on the cycle that otherwise isn’t. then you will know that its either the switch or as has been said too low a water level. also without fiddling with anything, you could also pour in some extra water in tub after its filled, then try it.March 4, 2011 at 11:10 pm #346027Micky 32

if it does need more water what can be done to solve it

it is an absolute pig to get out

Yes i had this problem of no heat on whatever prog i set it on.I by passed the heaters m/swt-the part you mention, and tried it -now works fine on all programmes.I didn`t mess about with the p/swt however.I told the customer on no account do you accept the repair if it is still wrong-never phoned back,so presume it worked out ok.

thought id revive this thread.
got a new world dishy coming up e3 and again not on eco. messed on with it at home and finally worked out that a quarter turn on pressostat allows just the right amount of water in.
thought what a clever boy i am until ive just noticed that Seamy does this already. -
