Belling Synergie 50/50 Double Oven – Model Number XOU487

I have a Belling double oven as noted above. The top oven has a grill and fan oven with circular heating element, both controlled from one rotary control switch. Neither the fan nor the oven heating element are operating but the grill is. However if the fan grilling setting is used the fan does not operate.
I have swapped the circular oven element between top and bottom ovens and it works when installed in the bottom oven.

Can anyone tell me what part I might need to replace?

In the trade we don’t replace parts on a ‘plug it in and try’ basis. Testing (with a test meter) is the preferred method. I would suggest you check the overheat thermal cut out (TOC) for starters with said test meter.
