ParticipantThanks to advice elsewhere here (timing knob), I managed to get in and conifrm my suspicions, the belt has broken, but I’m having some difficulty finding the right replacement belt.
It’s a TS12P, Serial 60102100.
Thanks 🙂

Knowing Hotpoint’s serial number and date code system ther’s an easy way to tell the 2 different possible belts for this model.
On is tensioned by a spring loaded pulley next to the motor, the other is a stretch on belt with no pulley.
Let me know and I can sort one out easily for you 🙂
Dave.

It’s the spring-loaded pulley type 🙂

Your in luck, that is the easy one to fit, part number 1741117. Send e mail to spares@ukwhitegoods.co.uk to order.
There should be two pulleys BTW, 😉

The belt you need is a 1702342. I cannot see it in the shop but an e-mail to spares@ukwhitegoods.co.uk should do the trick.
Very difficult belt to refit.

You will be convinced that you have been given the wrong belt, it is a very tight fit and indeed the Hotpoint engineers have a special tool to aid refitting. It is possible to fit without this tool, but if you get stuck try the link in my sig to see if we have someone in your area who can help. Plug out at all times of course. 😉
