    Hi
I just replaced the bearings in a jlwm1402 washing machine and everything went fine until I tried to put the belt back on
For some reason the belt does not align right as it will sit right on the motor end but then it only sits at the back of the spider end and comes of after a couple of minutes of the wash cycle
I cannot work out why this happened as the motor does not look like it can be adjusted in any way and I just put everything back together the same way
Thanks if anyone has got any ideas as I’m just gutted at the moment

Perhaps you didn’t seat the bearings fully and the shaft is not fully located in its correct position allowing the drum pulley to be slightly offset?

Hi. Thanks for the reply. The bearings are flush and its weird because its like the drum pully is further back now than it was originally. .I was hoping someone was going to say there was an easy way to bring the motor out a bit. I just cant work it out and its a shame as I thought I had done all the hard bits with the bearings.

Maybe the bearings were not the correct specification for the model?

All it was that I didnt set the shaft into the pulley properly. Didn’t realise it had a recess. All done now and thanks for the replies.
