Participanthi guys have to look at a bendix washing machine. model BIW105 problum not spinning properly and making a clicking noise. some thing stuck in the drum or raised segment on commutator any thing unusal i should look out for thanks fasetester

Fasetester, no one can answer your question, you need to visit the machine first. It will then be obvious where the click is coming from.

well guys went to repair machine fills up then tumbles one road but will not reverse tumble. makes a bit of a noise as if going to tumble then goes silent tryed on spin same problum. checked brushes checked for broken wires going to motor checked taco would this be a timer module fault. thanks fasetester.

I would suspect burnt contacts on a relay for the direction change on the main board. Given the price of these boards I would be looking to identify the relay and replace it. You could send the board to one of the repair firms but I’ve had a few bad experiences going down that route.

sure that tacho magnet is not un done under the tacho coil?

thanks guys for your reply is the board at the front beside the timer. behind the plastic case. eastmark do you mean when you take off the metal cover the taco looked ok does the coil pull out is it held in with a screw and i was getting a meter reading fasetester. 🙂

It is held by a plastic screw into the armature, often comes loose and pushes the tacho coil and cover backwards, (can appear to be all ok to the untrained eye) causing one short burst of drum action before the module interveens and cuts power to the motor.
