Bendix BDW 45 not allowing water in ??

i have a Bendix BDW 45 dishwasher and as the subject says will not allow water to enter. as this is the first dishwasher that i have owned i spoke to a friend of mine who said that it could either be the inlet solenoid or the float valve. ive checked for voltage at the solenoid but there is no juice getting there….also when i looked under the big main filter on the right hand side there is a plastic cover with a screw in it, and under what looked to be 2 blue plastic things that could be floats. could somebody tell me if im heading in the right direction pleassse

Ah, deep and profound joy – the blue tube problem. If you are very lucky, you can remove the blue tubes (and the little black one), flush them absolutely clean under the tap and it’ll work. If you’re not QUITE so lucky, you will need to remove the front lower cover and find the skinny clear and pink tubes and blow back through their mounting spigots. If you’re REALLY unlucky, the horseshoe hose right at the bottom underneath will have to come off and be cleaned.

Apart from that, it’s dead easy.

Power off obviously :plug: , if you’re not sure what I’m talking about, get pro help.
