I have a Bernstein ’90cm Range Style Cooker’ model no 5-908107. It is a 5 burner gas hob with electric fan oven.
When I turn the selector knob to a setting involving heat it trips the switch. In particular, it trips when I select grill.
If the grill heating element has blown would that be consistent? How can I confirm that the top element has blown?

    Many thanks

    Hi there

To test to see if the heater has blown, first turn the mains power off or by there fuse box(fuse box would be better)
you will need a multimeter and set it to ohms, open the back panel and disconnect the 2 leads going to the grill and put the multimeter leads on the grill connections, if you get a reading then the grill is working but if you get no reading or a reading that jumps around then you will need to replace the grill element.
