Best replacement oven fan motor?

    Replacement fan motors for fan ovens vary in price from £10 to £90. Which is my best option please? I don’t want to waste money, nor do I want to end up with rubbish that will go wrong again very soon!

    This is for a Proline EF9000.

    I’m afraid that it most often doesn’t work that way, unless there are compatible motors available that will fit which in this case there doesn’t appear to be.

    There are two motors but, they are determined by the production date, the later one here:

    To my knowledge, they are the only options that you have for that model.

    Thanks for that. I also found one for £26 at eSpares that claims to be compatible but I realise that “compatible” may mean drilling holes, etc.

    For that, yes. Compatible will mean some messing about to make it fit I’m afraid and sometimes that’s not pretty.

    OK thanks I will go for the real thing. But a closer inspection reveals it is a EF9000W/2, for which the correct part is 79X9590. Not cheap!

    Universal ones seem to have a much shorter spindle.
