BFD47SS capacitor

Hi, my Baumatic BFD47SS dishwasher stopped with a bang yesterday. When I investigated I found what appeared to be an “exploded capacitor” attached to the mains input panel. It has a fixed female spade connector and 2 female spade connectors on short wires. I have been told that this is a “mains filter and suppressor” and also, from a different source, that it is an “anti-disturbance control unit”
Which is correct? Are they the same thing? Where can I get one? Does anyone have a part number? Any help much appreciated.

Hi Pete.

That will be the mains suppressor, there’s two versions of the same model. Is yours an 8 place or 9 place setting one (it should say on the user manual) ?

Hi Dave, I no longer have the manual so I can’t tell whether it is 8 or 9 place, is there a significant difference in the part? Pete.

Hi Dave,
Fitted capacitor this a.m. Panel lights up but when selecting a programme the cold water inlet valve does not operate and we get message “error 6”. Any ideas, please?
