Has anybody got any news re Biasco!! I bought goods from them online in April. Goods hadn’t arrived by 9th May so I cancelled order and bought from a local dealer (which I should have done in the first place) . After cancelling, the goods turned up a week later (incidentally one of them, a gas hob, was broken in box). Despite numerous phone calls, no one has turned up to collect them and I still haven’t got my money back. I read today on this website that they have entered into administration!! Help!!

Thanks Bob, this is the one I read yesterday. I eventually got an email through to RTd Uk Limited who have allegedly bought out Biasco, who said they had forwarded my email to accounts. Watch this space and I’ll post the outcome.

If you used a Credit Card and the cost was over £100 & under £30,000 then the good news is that you are afforded extra protection in law & so under the Consumer Credit Act of 1976, if your supplier does not fulfil his contract with you in some way, or the goods are faulty, your card issuer has joint liability with the supplier of the goods, and you can therefore seek compensation from the card issuer if you get no joy from the supplier even if your orginal supplier has gone bust! – Contact your card company.

I am afraid if you used a Debit Card (not a credit card) you are not afforded the same courtesy but some banks do take pity sometimes and it would be a case of checking with your bank to see what they say.

Hey thanks, I’ve been advised by trading standards to report it to my credit card company ( which I used as opposed to a debit card ) which i will be doing.
