Bissell 1698-k

    hi guys,
    Long shot i know but do’s anyone have a idea why my bissel has stopped pumping water is there a common fault so to speak.
    i have been inside and checked all piping and still nothing.
    i have a felling it is the pump but were can you by these parts from.

    If the water still squirts out of the hose but not the bottom, then its probably blocked in the heater. Quite a common fault.

    hi mate,
    no it does not come out of both bottom and hose, some will come from th hose every now and then???

    The pump belt could be worn, very common on these.

    In that case I’d definately check for a blockage in the heater.

    we get a lot of pumps failing due to customers putting them away without flushing tubes through with clean water

    in insructions it states you should turn dial to water only to flush machine through at the end

    agree with above heater gets blocked but will normally still pump through hose if this is the case

    if you still get problems repost and i will ask the member of staff who does a lot of these
