    Grrr.

I ordered a new control knob for a Hotpoint WML540..CC54701 many weeks ago from Masterpart, part number C00264039.

It took so long to come that I couldn’t remember exactly what the broken knob looked like.

I went back to fit it this morning only to find that the original knob has all of the programme numbers embossed on it and the new knob is totally blank and therefore useless.

Either it is a one off, faulty knob or could it possibly be a knob for a digital display machine, can’t remember if they are blank or not?

It’s not good to discover that when you get your knob out it’s duff. So far at least, I’ve never had a problem but I can only imagine your frustration. :eeek:

    Afternoon Jim

I reckon you have a unique one there as Connect shows it to have the programmes on it as does the Hotpoint spares web site.

Sadly I can’t see Richard Knowles telling me its worth a small fortune in a few years time, if only it had been a postage stamp. :rolls:

    Hmmm,

Seems its not unique after all.

Just had a reply back for Masterpart informing me that all the C00264039 knobs that they have in stock are also blank. 😕

Just to update this as I have just linked to this thread, I did eventually get the correct control knob with all the lettering on it. 8)

I’m so dissappointed. I thought the headline was yet more goings on about Go Local/servicenet. 🙁
