    Hi Cras

Not seen or used any plastic ones. We use only the brass ones and have had no problems whatsoever. Connect have BLK9029 a 10 box pack or Qualtex QUALPG44. Both come out at 89p for each cap.

I still think that P45’s method is as good as it gets.

Cut the screwed end off one of the old fill hoses, remove seal, slot a 10p piece in, refit seal, you now have a perfect blanking nut, job done. 8)

    Hi

BES have them but you’ll still need to use a washer.

A 10p piece is much cheaper than any of those. 😀

The 10p works OK but I think they’re made of plated steel these days, aren’t they? If so, the rust will get through it in maybe 10 or 15 years. Better to carry a brass one in the toolbox, they’re cheap enough and it looks a bit more pro. (Not that I worry about appearances but I know many of you do.)
    Mike.
