    Pretty average load got as far as the rinse cycle and then 13amp fused blew.
    Removed the washing and started empty machine from where it stopped – Wash finished okay so put load back in and started from rinse – everything seemed to be okay, but fuse blown again after a few minutes.

    Could be that the motor brushes have worn out and the motor is shorting to earth now? Could be lots of reasons aside from that more usual cause?

    It will need a careful look into with the POWER DISCONNECTED and the relevant test equipment to locate the fault. If you are at all unsure and need a bit of local help from an approved engineer, please click on the link below. 😉
