OUR BLOMBERG WASHING MACHINE SEEMS TO HAVE A MIND OF ITS OWN. IT STOPS MIDWAY THROUGH A CYCLE WITH THE 900 SPIN BUTTON FLASHING AND THE NO SPIN BUTTON FLASHING AND IT ALSO BLEEPS TWICE BUT CONTINUOSLY. PLEASE HELP. DOES ANYONE KNOW WHAT THE ERROR CODES MEAN SO THAT I CAN TRY TO FIND THE PROBLEM AND REPLACE WHAT IS NEEDED. 😕

If these machines are newish, try the retailer or manuf. for flexibility on guarantee cover. They’ve their reputation to protect.

Blomberg is a brand name used by Comet. In my experience, once the guarantee period has passed there is no chance of “free” support. Unfortunate really, as these are well made German built appliances by the Brandt company. Their technical support is notoriously poor amonmg the trade members of this site.

So – apply some logic. You both say that the machine runs for a while, before faulting. Possibilities – not reaching the required temperature in the time allowed (heater circuit failure); not draining out in the time allowed (blockage, drain restriction, pump failure); draining but thinking it’s still full (level system blockage/switch failure); possibly not even reaching the required water level in the time allowed (water valve failure).

At best, the “codes” are a guide, most faults can be solved by a methodical approach, observation and some careful testing (with the power off).

If you are unable to do this safely, please check repairs@ or Directories for a UKW engineer in your area.

    Regards,
    Penguin45.
