    Morning.
Need some advise on a Blomberg CFFN 270 which is about 9 years old and has never caused us any problems till now.
The problem is that it is not cooling both fridge and freezer, you can here the fan motor working. Any advise very much appreciated.
Also due to its age more than likley its beyond economical repair, so what would be a good replacement regarding reliability etc.

    Regards

    Robin

This sounds like a system failure I’m afraid unless the freezer isn’t defrosting properly (I’m assuming it’s frost free) causing ice build up blocking the air flow.

Try a complete defrost over 48 hours and see if that solves the problem, if not or if it happens again within a short period then you’ll need an engineer to diagnose further.

Check Repairs@ should you need one.

    Bosch, Miele, Zanussi, AEG, Whirlpool………

All of those are OK, Bosch or Miele being the better quality 😉

Hi Dave, thanks for the tip from 2 years ago!!

We have the same model and just after noticing a small amount of ice build-up around the top vent in the freezer compartment, I’ve also noticed that the fans never switch off at all, they keep running.

I’ll try the 48hr defrost idea once the freezer is less full.

Everything appears to be working, other than the fans on 24hrs, which can’t be good for the environment or our leccy bill 😉
