    Hello

Can anyone help with an error code on my Blomberg dishwasher model number GVN 9483E?

I have run the self test and it is showing Er5.

The reason for running the test is that the lower arm is not spinning. I’ve checked it for blockages and there are none. Water is coming out of the arm.

    Thanks!

Er5 is a diverter valve fault

fault reads “3W Valve Position Error”

valve may be faulty, bad connections or main board fault

    Hi again

It seems like the connectors are burnt out. Is repair an option with a new valve or is the wire connector either not fit to use or not replaceable?

Is there an option just not to connect it back at all and use the dishwasher without those burnt wires connected? Sorry if it’s a stupid question, I’ve no idea what the red/purple wires are responsible for!

I can’t recall any problems with water going where it shouldn’t. But if there’s a leak somewhere maybe it’s time to bin the dishwasher anyway.

    Is that what you’re saying?

as you say it cant be much but its likley that whole unit has been leaking

all depends if you want to take a £25 chance on a fix

you could remove the unit and look to see if its been leaking
