Does anyone know how to enter the diagnostic menu, aka service test program on this model?Detail
I have a Blomberg LTH3842W heat pump tumble dryer and it doesn’t seem to get things “really dry”, even on the “cottons extra dry”, sensor+ set (to make it even dryer) and the rapid dry turned on (adds an extra electric heater) the clothes always feel slightly damp. They are damper than we got from our old cheap and cheerful Zanussi timer dryer with a simple vent! After paying £500 I feel a bit peeved.
I rang Blomberg who said that they have no technical support and suggested I contact where I bought it from. The retailed suggested I ring Blomberg as they are the experts. Both offered to send an engineer but the “no fault found” cost would be £65. Somehow I feel they are going to say “that’s as dry as it normally produces” and I have to cough up £65 for them to tell me that the dryer doesn’t dry perfectly.Am I expecting too much from the tumble dryer?
I expect an engineer will immediately jump into a diagnostic menu, find no errors and say £65 please. Therefore, I would like to try this out myself first.
Does anyone know how to enter the diagnostic menu, aka service test program on this model?
I noticed a page on the main uk whitegoods site that deals with Blomberg Sirius heat pump dryers but that requires the dial set to a specific programme before turning the dryer on. My dryer has a rotary knob that always starts at the “cotton cupboard dry” so that doesn’t work
Thanks

ModeratorThere are alot of factors to take into account with your dryer first of all do not expect it to dry as well as your old vent zanussi as the older vented dryers had bigger elements used alot more electric, there are many things to take in with a heat pump dryer, the spin speed on your washing machine comes into play as if these not enough moisture out of the clothes this will affect the dryers performance, the other thing is where the dryer is installed (ie) garage, near a radiator both have major affects on how it works, as regards diagnostic cycle this is only available to beko approved engineers sorry I don’t have access kai.
