Blomberg WMI7462w20 pauses after 5 seconds

No matter which program is selected, after about 5 seconds it either stops filling or draining. It would appear that at this point perhaps the drum should start to rotate which it won’t and therefore the program pauses? Same fault existed a couple of months ago but appeared to be fixed with installation of new brushes….. Any ideas as to why the same thing is happening again?

have you checked the brushes to see if there is any problem with them

but I’m no engineer, I wouldn’t know what to look for….

a carbon brush is a block of carbon on a spring that contacts the armature to provide power

this block wears down over time

you can see the picture the length of the block. you would need to remove the brushes and check if they have worn or jammed for some reason

or you could ring the engineer and tell him it may have broken under guarentee. if he is honest he will come back and check and only charge you if its a different fault
