Blomberg wnf6341 not spinning

Hi, I have a Blomberg wnf6341 which has suddenly decided it doesn’t want to spin, no warning signs. Everything else works ok, wash cycle gets to spin and then it pumps, stops for a few minutes, pumps again and repeats. Any advice appreciated.

1 make sure spin is switched on

2 try to make it spin with no washing in

most times if a machine will spin empty it will just be an out of balance load

Hi Dave,
Tried both your suggestions already. I believe the spin won’t operate if there is still water in the machine, I can see what looks like an air pressure switch at the front of the machine with a rubber hose running down to the bottom. I’ve disconnected this and checked it isn’t blocked. There is no water in the machine, checked pump filter and emergency drain hose. Any other ideas?

your right it wont spin if there is water in the machine or if it thinks there as water in the machine so the pressure switch may be faulty
does it try to start to spin ie turn slowly then tris to speed up and stops

No, if you put it on spin all that happens is the pump runs for a few seconds and then stops. After a minute or so it pumps again and so on, no drum movement at all.

if you put the machine on a wash cycle
1 does the drum turn
2 if yes does it turn both ways ?

Yes, it washes normally. Drum turns both ways.

Brushes worn down? Possible and it does appear to use a brushed motor according to the tech on it.

Spot on, managed to get a local guy to look at it. New brushes fitted, good as new. Hopefully. Thanks for your help and advice.
