ParticipantCalled to a Blomberg LDV02284 slimline dishwasher tripping electrics.
After a while of hunting, I found the insulation fault in what appears to be a sensor mounted on the right-hand side of the support bar inside the lower section of the door.
It’s connected to a blue and a white wire which goes back to the PCB.
I can’t find it as a spare on its own, but it appears to come as part of the complete cable harness.
Can someone tell me what this is, is it available as a separate part and what causes this to get wet?September 15, 2020 at 8:31 pm #472054electrofix

ParticipantThanks, Dave,
It pointed down, but looked like it was pointing into the overflow channel where there’s a lower lip in the front edge of the tank. I should have taken a photo or opened it up to take a closer look. I thought I was going to find it as a spare and identify it that way.
If it was an LED I would have thought it would be available as a spare.
I think I’ll have to go back and strip it down.September 15, 2020 at 11:01 pm #472056electrofix
Moderatorhave emailed you the wiring diagram as i could not see the colours you mention
since you may be able to trace it back to a plug on the board you may get an idea from that

ParticipantIt sounds like it is the floor illumination LED – I have seen several of these cause this problem, usually the customer doesn’t want to replace the harness so I just cut it off at the PCB and the machine works fine.

JemI’m going to go back and take another look. If it is the LED indicator I was going to talk to the landlord. My guess is they will probably go for this option particularly if it could go again at a later date.

DaveThanks for the wiring diagram Dave.
It looks like KN8 terminal 5&6 marked lower LED. It’s not showing any wires from the terminals though.September 16, 2020 at 2:00 pm #472060electrofix
Moderatorall you can do is trace the wires and see where they go and take it from there

ModeratorI’ve changed one under warranty yes they are a pain to fit and it doesn’t come with the harness I’m nor 100{e5d1b7155a01ef1f3b9c9968eaba33524ee81600d00d4be2b4d93ac2e58cec2d} but I think [h=3]1767140100 is the part number[/h]
