    Hi all,

My Bosch started to make a scraping sound whilst washing and then very loudly when spinning. I assumed that this was prob a bra wire, however by the end of the wash cycle the machine triped the breaker!
So now i have the following:
If set to fresh up and spin a 12 min prog. the pump runs but no spin and at 2 mins in it shuts down showing -0-
If normal wash no movement from the drum at all. you can here the pcb relays clicking though.
The drum now shows resistance when attempting to turn by hand a kind of spring back effect.

Could this be the brushes / belt or NCT? as the machine is around 3-4 years old do i attempt the fix myself or get it covered by bosch therefore having a repair and a years cover(£189) or just buy another at £400

    Opinions please!!

    thanks

Check the heater. If it’s scraping on the bottom of the drum, it’ll get chewed to bits in no time at all.

Find the proper model number and we may be able to advise a bit further.

If the scraping sound actually wasn’t that loud then my money is on brush failure…if the trip went then there is a chance that the motor and/or the pcb may be damaged too. Certainly worth examining the BRUSHES and replacing if worn 😉
