Had two of these from Qualtex fail to earth after 3 minutes on test. Low but acceptable megger reading from box then fails when used. Tried the earth off to dry it out but still failing after 10 mins. Is there a faulty batch about.

Yes, every one we’ve had in the last month has got an earth fault.

These are made by Gorenje and either from them or Bosch are the same.

Just come back from testing two more of these elements. Different supplier AND the Gorenje branded ones……both failed.

Low megger at start (7Meg), five minutes full heat and pretty much a full short to earth at the end.

Problem is where do I go now. Customer hasn’t paid anything so far and is peed off that I can’t fix the dryer, plus there seems to be no way around the problem at the mo.
Are Bosch getting something sorted on this one, as it’s a problem I’ve never encountered before 😕

It’s Gorenje that have the problem, Bosch buy the parts from them so I guess they are aware of it 😕

I’ve stopped selling them for now as I’m waiting on new ones arriving from ISDAL who owe me three free ones from weeks ago :rolls:

Don’t think my customer will wait that long 😥

Are these elements new still causing problems?
