ParticipantHello
My mums dishwasher will not drain, nothing has been moved and it goes out to the waste as it has for 8 years.
I have removed this and its clean, I even blew down the pipe (dont know if I should, it gurgled a but)
I have remove the t20 torx and cleaned out found the impeller and it spins, and at 6 oclock there was a hole I gently put a pipe cleaner in there, all is ok.
I fired it up, quick wash and the same, it finished and was full, its not draining.
What next can I do and try please?
I thank you

ParticipantThat model number is incomplete Darren , it should normally start SGS or SRS or something similar.
With water in it , what happens when you select ‘re-set’ on the appliance ? ( Normally labelled by the selector buttons with a line and 2 dots….press these together till the end light illuminates . This will end the programme and operate the pump )
If you can hear the pump working and yet the water is still not draining then you may have an internal blockage within the machines pipework.
If you can’t hear the pump fire up or hear a very faint hum then the drain pump may be blocked or faulty.
The best way to check for drainage is to place the end of the drain hose in a bucket to watch the outflow.
…oh , and remember that the machine won’t drain if you havn’t replaced the impellor cover !!!!#

I had the same thing, with the “Check Water” light coming on. I couldn’t work out what to do and in the end, before calling out the engineer, is got as mkuch of the blocked water as possible from the bottom of the dishwasher and tipped it upside down in case there was some kind of airlock. It worked!
