    This customer contacted me today and asked me to confirm that the drum bearings had failed. They had, and the machine is just 33 months old. It was purchased as I recommended Bosch. The guarantee on this machine is for two years. I would expect the bearings to last 5 years!! The drum bearings cannot be replaced as the drum assy is welded together, so the tub assy has to be replaced at £200+ for the replacement. Does anyone know if the customer has any chance of gaining a repair under the consumer regulations? Is this the way Bosch are going along with Hotpoint? Any comments appreciated.

    Simple answer, no chance and any recourse toward anyone. Bosch like Hotpoint? Nah, Bosch bearings last several weeks longer.

    I sold an 8kl bosch 9months ago bosch are going to replace it as they are to busy to replace drum /bearings not sure i can sing bosch are the best any more
