Bosch brushes replaced tries to turn drum and then stops

Hi

I’ve just replaced the brushes in our bosch WAE28162gb/05 washing machine as it wasn;t spinning and they were worn. It now tries to turn the drum and stops, almost like its stuck, despite the drum being able to turn freely. Any clues before we buy a replacement?

have you checked that the slots the brushes slide into are clean amd free from dust? also check each wire on terminal block of the motor

I took the whole thing apart and cleaned out all the dust. I’ll check the connections…
