ParticipantHi Hoping someone can help. We have a Bosch Exxcel approx 15 months old thats now displaying the check water light and not emptying out the water towards the end of the wash cycle. We have taken the filter apart and checked the little whirly thing underneath but to no avail (it did manage to empty itself after we did this check but has done the same thing on the next wash) The model number is SGS46E02GB/01. We havent moved it so dont see how the hose can be kinked.
Any help much appreciated?
Thanks

It may be worth checking the drain pump impellor ( the little whirly thingy) again. It is quite common for a small piece of glass to jam the impellor, you may have dislodged it temporarily. Watch your fingers as you poke around in the sump, you cannot see the glass in the water.

Thanks Jim – will have another go.
It’s scary how many Bosch complaints seem to be coming through at the moment!!

All the ones related to pump blockages etc are down to simple misuse.
Not rinsing the plates off first, not taking care when removing the filters to clean them thus allowing things such as glass or bone fragments to slip into the sump.
I tell any of my customers that care to take note, it is a dishwasher, it is not a waste disposal unit. 😉

Not draning fault aside, the most common reason for the “check water” to illuminate is the flow meter or impellor jug as its called ,p/no 424099.
They have a high failure rate :rolls:
Part available from spares@ukwhitegoods.co.uk.
Power off if you are to attempt any repair yourself :plug:Greg
