Bosch Classic 7 Tumble Dryer will not spin

Hello there,

My Bosch Classix 7 Tumble Dryer will not spin (WTE84105GB/31)

I have cleaned the filter and also the fluff that gathers in the secret little compartment, but to no joy.

I *suspect* that it is the capacitor or the motor that is the problem (the drum still has resistance when turning by hand which suggests the belt is OK).

I haven’t taken the top off it to look yet, but I’m just wondering whether it is worth me having a look or just getting someone out to look at it. I don’t know what capacitor is in there yet, so I don’t know how much the part would be to replace.

So any tips greatly appreciated.

With the best will in the world it would never spin only tumble. So either the belt (00650499) has snapped or the 9mf motor capacitor (00622991) has failed. The former more likely.
