ParticipantHi, I’ve searched the forum with no luck so hoping someone can help. I have a Bosch Classix 1200 Express which won’t spin.
On spin it makes a grinding noise with no movement. The machine operates normally on the wash cycle.
We did have an error code which was the top and fourth light down which suggested that it was a blockage or the filter needed cleaning. So far I have checked and cleaned the filter and propellor and disconnected and cleaned all the outlet pipes. I don’t believe that there is or was a blockage.
Would be grateful for any thoughts,
Andy

ParticipantBosch Classix 1200 – Pictures of problem
When checking the belt I may have found the problem. A part had become detached from the machine and lodged between the side and drum and some wires worn awat. This part is attached to a back hose.and normally on the front RHS top of the machine. I attach 3 pictures showing the part (worn away) and attached to the hose. If anyone could tell me what this part is I’d be very grateful. Andy

That is the pressure switch, it is usually clipped to the cabinet side, look for a square hole along the top edge, the small clip on the back of the switch is used to locate in the hole.

Many thanks Iadom. I have found where it would be located. Unfortunately it has had the wires and holder worn away where it was lying between the drum and body of the machine. Please could I ask you two questions:
1) given that the wiring has frayed away could this be a reason why the machine will not spin ? and
2) where would be the best place to find a replacement.I have looked on e-spares with no joy,
Thanks Andy

It will almost certainly be the reason that it is not spinning, cheap enough to make it well worth changing.
Part number is 428683, you can order one by sending an e-mail to spares@ukwhitegoods.co.uk
Espares are a few pounds dearer than buying it direct from Bosch. 😉
