    Hi,

I wonder if anyone can suggest a solution to this problem:

The motor had stopped working but machine was still running through cycle. I checked the carbon brushes and replaced them when I found that they were worn to stumps. Once I have reinstalled the motor, it started briefly, but made a slightly odd sound and then stopped again. I took the motor out again and found that I had installed one of the brushes the wrong way round. After reinstalling, I now appear to have a dead machine. The LEDs on the panel flicker on briefly when switching on but after that, nothing.

The model number inside the door is WFO2467GB/01.

Any help or suggestions would be greatly appreciated.

    Thanks,
    Tim

You need to test the motor with a suitable megger or multimeter. The chances are that the motor overload has blown, possibly taking out the main pcb as well. 🙁

    Hi Ian,

Thanks for replying. Is there a reset for the motor overload or would it mean a new motor? There is frustratingly little information available on this things. I expect that blown PCB would make repair uneconomical.

Both the motor and the pcb are very expensive on their own, no reset for the overload .:(

The PCB’s are relatively easy to repair.. Sometimes you can get away with just track repair
