Bosch Classixx 1200 On/Off switch help pls

Hi
I have a Bosch Classixx 1200 washing machine, about 8 yrs old. I dont have the manual but there are the following numbers on the door

wfl2463gd/12 fd8308 606368 ( hope this helps with model no)

The on/off switch is failing. I have to press it several times before it switches on. At the moment it eventually does.

My OH is an electronics engineer luckily.

Can anyone give me any tips on how to go about repairing or replacing this and where exactly the problem is within the machine.

WFL2463GB/12.

There is no on/off switch. Power is switched by the programme selector. There is a start button as part of the pcb – p/no 432218, a snip at £203.

Sorry! meant the start switch!

That sounds like a real problem!- we dont fancy a new pcb at that price!
