I have the above m/c with a defective heater (puts trip out)
Can the heater be accessed sufficiently for replacement?
    Access looks very restricted!

You didn’t bless us with the actual model number but usually on many Bosch washers the heater is accessed after the front panel is removed.

Thanks for your quick response. Sorry! It’s WF 02867GB/17 but how does the front come off?
So far I have done my metering from underneath and was hoping to withdraw the heater but now realise that it is quite long!

Remove control fascia, bottom kick panel and unhook door boot clamp ring. The rest is obvious 😉

Thanks for that, our previous m/c’s have been accessible from the rear so have been quite get attable.
    Heater on order!

    Re: Bosch Classixx 1400

Heater arrived and I was most impressed at the build of the Bosch.
Heater came out OK but I was amazed at the amount of scale surrounding the element (causing localised over heating and the failure) Hopefully when I give it a test run the majority of this will be pumped out.
Would it be a good idea to run a descaler through it or is that likely to cause more problems?

Forget the descaler and just hope the pump doesn’t jam up trying to clear that muck away!

Put it through a cycle and all works fine!
Thanks to all for your advice.
