    Hello,

I’m wondering if anyone can help me with my very noisy washing machine. E-Nr. WFO2866GB/07.

The washing machine is approximately 2yrs old and is used 3-4 times per week. The noise suddenly started tonight during the spin cycle of a 30C Easy Care wash. The noise is very loud and vibrates the whole machine – it is difficult to pinpoint where the noise is coming from without taking the backing off the machine.
At first I thought that the drum was jammed but is spins freely. The machine fills with water, washes and drains without making any noise but as soon as the spin part of the cycle starts the noise appears. The volume of the noise is constant and does not change in pitch or frequency according to the speed of the drum, which suggests to me that the problem is not with the drum or drum motor.

Can anyone advise what the problem is and suggest a solution?

    Thanks,
    sbarne

un plug!! take lid off…press up and down on the tub and listen for ” dodgey” noise. look to see if there is anything loose. if not plug in select spin turn on, DO NOT TOUCH THE MACHINE WHILST IN OPERATION. listen to see if you can locate source of sound. if no untoward noise load machine select spin/rinse and listen again . i repeat DO NOT PUT YOUR HAND ANYWERE IN THE MACHINE UNTIL YOU HAVE UNPLUGGED.. if no wiser it may be the telescopic dampers which have failed.

It sounds like the concrete weights are loose. It is worth checking that their mounting bolts and straps are tight and then give it a retest.

Power off, plug out before any inspection. :plug:

    Hope that helps,

    Steve.
