ParticipantHi. My Bosch Washer didn’t complete the spin cycle and now won’t start at all. Just have the 1200, 800 and Rinse Hold indicators flashing. The E-NR: WAE24165GB/06
Have tried the reset procedure (around 10 times) nothing has changed. Before i call for an engineer can anybody assist me? Thanks in advanceSeptember 24, 2017 at 3:22 pm #450636electrofix

1 you have to do the reset correctly or it wont work
2 I would check brushes first

Reset procedure that i have done is close door turn nob to off. Turn to 6 oclock. Press Spin Button and hold whilst turning the nob to 7 o’clock. After about 5 seconds release finger from Spin Button and turn nob to the off position. Is this not correct Dave?
Also how do i check the brushes and where are they?
Thanks

Motor brushes part number 00616505 list price genuine £22.51. I advize you if the brushes are worn out to replace with these genuine ones rather than pattern stuff.
To remove the motor you`ll need a 10mm socket, remove the 2 long self tapping screws having removed the back panel t20 torx screw. Lean the machine to a wall to the front, then remove the motor and earth wire and oranged wired terminal block. You`ll need a flat bladed screw driver to lever the motor off its tank lugs. Becareful the motor is heavy! You can usually tell if the motor brushes are worn out by just looking at the commutator ( the part of the armature with the segments – will look matt instead of shinney ). Remove each brush to check – when new each one of two is new the carbon bit should be about 2 inches long, when worn out they are 1/4 of an inch. Replace with new brushes
making sure you put each one the right way round so you do NOT hear any clicking noise when you rotate the armature / spindle around.September 24, 2017 at 7:27 pm #450639electrofix

reset does sound right. some engineers have found they cant reset it till the brushes have been replaced and some say if you disconnect motor is all you need
never had any trouble myselfI find you have to time things a bit set knob to 6,wait 2 secs, then hold spin button wait a sec and move to 7 wait 2 secs then release, if it works you will see light flash a bit. then off then on again not too quickly
