bosch classixx 6 varioperfect washing machine not emptying

Hi to anyone who may be able to help with my prob!! :rolls: ❓ :boops:

I have a Bosch Classixx 6 varioperfect washing machine (WAE24166GB) which has developed a prob within the past week. The machine fills fine on start of cycle, then when it should empty ready for rinse, it won’t pump anything out, the wash light flashes, and the rinse light is on also at the same time. I have emptied the water via the little hose thingy bottom right of washer, and checked the filter for blockages etc. On 1st attempt at filter, a hair grip and cotton bud with fluff was taken out, but on frequently checking the filter after each try of filling and emptying, nothing else has been evident. I have tried putting the cycle to hottest setting and then onto drain or spin cycle and still nothing apart from two times when it did it on only the rinse setting but it wasn’t a flurry of water just like spurts and trickles with the pump (I think) making a weird dull/slightly grinding noise as if it is trying to work then nothing, no water coming out the outside drain, and just a slight humming noise. We bought the washer in 2012 and the warranty has only just ran out Jan 2014, but have not extended it, so trying to see if this may have the possibility to be a job I can do myself (with fingers and everything else crossed !!!!!).

Hope someone may be able to help with my dilemma and have an idea of what the prob can be from the descriptions above, if I am not making sense, etc., please do not hesitate to let me know.

There is still something blocking the pump Impellor. (More hair grips perhaps?)

Closer look at the pump advised. 😀

Sorry but I’m a blonde haired bimbo :con: when it comes to these types of things. If I can figure out how to do the filter and that drain tube thingy I might have bit ov an inclining with bit of advice on where it is, what I do etc?.

Apologies again for bombarding you with all novice terminology and about as much knowledge as a fish outta water has on what to do next !

The four bladed ‘fan thingy’ that sits directly behind the filter.
