ParticipantWashing machine stopped working during cycle and tripped fuse, was showing F-16 code and could not open the door, opened door manually and replaced the door interlock with a new one. Still did not work, press start the machine just beeps twice but nothing happens, door does not lock shut either when programme is selected. Spoke to repair shop I was advised that the control module could have gone when the interlock failed, so I have now replaced this also, but still doesn’t work and beeps twice. There is another pcb module where most of the machine wiring goes to, but this one is expensive and I’m hoping it could be something else before I cut my losses! Any advice much appreciated.

Sorry, I thought I had entered that in my main text. Washing Machine is a Bosch Classixx 7 VarioPerfect, inside the door are the following model details – E-Nr. WAE28368GB/54 FD 9301 600892
After machine tripped switch during wash cycle and was powered back on it showed an F-16 code, which according to manual is a faulty door interlock, so this was replaced with new one, Bosch part No.00633765
This did not make any difference and machine still beeped twice when pressing start, I was told the failure of the interlock can also sometimes blow the pcb so the next replacement part I was told to try was a operating module, Bosch part No.00654071
I’ve now been told to try replacing the power module, Bosch part No.00706108, but at £150 I’m very reluctant to try this and hoping it could be something else??April 11, 2018 at 2:10 pm #455260electrofix

its unlikely to be anything else
take the boards out, trace which connectors the door lock connects to ( either follow cable or buzz them through with a multimeter)
then follow the track and look for component damage
power board damage would be my first choice
you could approach a board repairer like
http://www.emwelec.co.uk/
or
http://www.qer.biz/servReps.htmand see if they can repair this fault. One of the advantages of this is you can send both board and they can test as a pair

Thanks, I took out the pcb where most of the machine wiring goes to and sure enough, the track coming from where the wiring loom from the door interlock joins is burnt out. Cheers for the heads up on the repair sites also, but I know a guy local to me who used to work on electronics at his old job and still does homers for them and he is going to have a look at it for me, reckons its an easy fix if it just the track blown and no other components damaged. Thanks very much for your help!
