Bosch Classixx Condenser Tumble Dryer – Clean Light

Hi, looking to understand a little more about how this dryer type would light the clean filter light and stop the machine.

To be clear – I’m not talking about it stopping because it thinks the container is full of water (I’ve aware of the whole ‘hidden flap’ thing and that part of the dryer is working fine)..

In our case, its stopping because it thinks the lint filter needs a clean. I’ve cleaned the entire machine out, including the hidden flap area, the condenor, all internal pathways that I can reach. I’ve also had the back off and cleaned the heating element, however nothing has done the trick.
I’m thinking that whatever sensor is in operation must be some kind of air flow sensor, but I can’t find it anywhere in the parts diagrams.

I have found the sensor under the lint filter (I believe it’s an NTC sensor) and cleaned that in case that was the one, but again – nothing has worked.

Anyone got any suggestions where I should be looking to understand more about what’s happening?

So I thought the NTC sensor was temperature related? I would have thought in order for it to understand the lint filter needed a clean it would be looking for a restricted air flow of some kind?

Looking at this somewhat related thread (albeit for a different machine )

They seem to be also having the same problem. The poster did test their sensor and found it ok, so either the heater element and sensor together or the PCB.

With my machine it appears I can buy the sensors seperately, but I’d rather be certain before I start buying random parts to “see if that fixes it”, if that makes sense?

its a hard one because bosch tech info to test the components is difficult to get. the only way you know if a sensor is faulty is either its way out or you compare it with a new one

ok, thank you for the replies – I’ll go ahead and grab this sensor (there is an additional NTC sensor at the back of the machine near the heater element, although I don’t think that be the one at fault), and go from there.
