    Hello

I have a bosch classixx model SRS43C22GB/04. about 4 yrs old.

It fills ok but then stops when the “wash” should kick in. A constant buzzing sound is then heard with regular “clicking” The red active light stays constanlty on. It then drains ok when you turn the knob to reset.

I have reset the device. No luck on any wash program

I took the RHS panel off and felt the circulation motor where the buzzing occurs. It is hot. It is also very corroded.

I dont wish to pay bosch call out for £89 and then find out the pump has gone which is about £140. Brand new it is 289 for a slightly better spec model.

Can anyone offer any advice please?

    thanks

It does, on the face of it, sound as if the wash pump has had it. 🙁

If you do need the wash motor, it’s here.

On the assumption that you have first disconnected the appliance from the mains. I would suggest trying to turn the rotor of that motor (access through the motor endplate – the rotor has cooling veins you can turn). It should easily turn with your finger (or small screwdriver) and if not then the motor has indeed seized up. The corrosion under the motor a dead giveaway toward realising that not only will the motor need replacing but with it a new impellor kit also! 🙁
