Bosch Classixx – E18, E14, E16!! SMS40C02GB

Hello!
I am asking for a bit of advice please on our Bosch Classicxx dishwasher.

The machine has been working faultlessly for years, however recently there has been errors ranging from E18, E16 to E14. A search reveals something to do with filling the dishwasher.

I’ve checked the hose, the inlet particle filter and of course the filters in the machine.
I’ve also checked the rotary sensor on the inlet and the signal does appear to click on and off when it spins.

For the first time, today the machine filled itself up to the point the water was at a level above the bottom spray arm.

Any ideas which parts to start replacing, or is the rotary sensor on the inlet not giving the correct signal?
