Hi there, I’m hoping you can help me decide whether it’s worth calling out an engineer(or buying a new fridge!).
The freezer part of my fridge/freezer seemed not be working properly so I emptied the contents as the fridge was still working and I didn’t want to turn it off.
The following day the freezer seemed to be working again so I put in a tray of water which froze and is still frozen 3 days later.
The problem is the fridge is now warmer inside than my kitchen!
BTW the unit is about 3 years old.
    TIA

    Hi
I would first of all try switching it off for 24hrs (towels in freezer) and then see how it goes. If a fault is apparent it will more than likely materialise. DON’T fill freezer until you are happy that both fridge and freezer are working correctly over say 7 days. I would recommend putting some cheap bread or something in freezer over this period, not only as a guide to freeze ability but nothing in a frost free freezer compartment isn’t good practice.
If the fault re-occurs and the doors are sealing I would seriously consider getting pro help as these are not really a DIY machine as they are quite sophisticated in respect to a standard fridge freezer.
The link below should point you in the right direction if required 😉
